ABOUT

Regan is an artist and writer most known for her dark and surreal style, whether it be digital art, mixed media, or traditional art. Her illustrations have been used in a number of media from CD art and book covers to graphic novels and magazine advertisements. Recently her work has also been used in brand identity and package design. Raised in the eastern United States, she earned a degree in Illustration from the University of the Arts and currently lives in NJ.

Kinon was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey just west of Manhattan. She began drawing at the early age of three and was inspired by various cartoons and books. Kinon’s art continued to progress to the age of 18, when she decided to go to art school. There she gained the confidence to work in many different mediums, in addition it taught her perspective, color theory and further developed artistic skills, which later translated into her digital work.
After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration from The University of the Arts, Kinon worked as an Illustrator for various toy companies and design agencies.
Since then, she has tackled any artistic job she could get her hands onto.
It is her careful weaving of texture, light, mood and (most importantly) her warped imagination, that makes Kinon a sought-after surrealist illustrator today.

How do I purchase original artwork?
Purchasing original artwork is tricky, because most of my pieces eventually get scanned in and edited through Photoshop. I occasionally have the original sketches for sale in my shop, or you can commission an original piece all for yourself. (See below)

Do you do commissioned paintings?
Yes, it all depends on my workload. When I take on commissions, I like to have creative control to ensure that the outcome of the painting is consistent with my artistic vision but I have done everything from small canvases, blank skate decks to wall murals.

Where can I find prints of your work?
Currently, I only offer prints on my online store (click on
The Store).

Will you draw a custom tattoo design for me?
I would love to, it all depends on my current workload. If you are interested, please email me and let me know what you are looking for. In the mean time, please feel free to use any of my artwork on this website to get tattooed on you. Send pics if you can.

Will you design my album cover for my band?
It all depends on the project and my schedule, but... HELLS YES I WILL.

What medium do you use to paint with?
Really I use anything I can get my hands on. Most of my personal pieces are done with pencil, pen, marker, acrylic and sometimes, even blood and sweat. Almost all of my pieces end up being scanned into the magical marvel of witchcraft and science known as Photoshop where I can really play with photo manipulation, color, and textures.

How long does it take for you to create a painting?
It’s hard to gauge. Each one has it’s own characteristics and time frame to complete.
